Read on to see how this incredible day unfolded!

The Inquiry

She, a Canadian, once Albertan.  He, a lifelong Australian.  Engaged and looking to plan a wedding of their dreams from a completely different timezone, in a province that is not their Canadian “home”… Kelly & Jarrad reached out knowing they needed the maximum level of support!  Our boots were on the ground running from day one of them contacting us and we worked tirelessly between our BC contacts, Alberta experience and trusting Aussie couple, to pull together a wedding that is one for the books!

The Package

Sourcing a full service venue aided greatly in the overall execution of wedding weekend and coordinating rental/decor deliveries or pickups from an array of local suppliers, made all the difference as we traveled to site to bring all of our plans to life!  We assisted in providing our couple with budget establishment & management, all while taking things a step further to aid in facilitating payments between different countries with different banking abilities.  Detailed plans were discussed, countless video connections were made, images shared, contracts reviewed, standard and custom vendor practices negotiated… and so much more!  All was conducted and achieved for our couple as they had invested in The More Love, The Better full service package.  Overall, the priority was not only guest experience, but wedding design and curating moments for our bride and groom that would be beyond memorable.

The Result

A sunny afternoon was kicked off by a private First Look moment for Kelly and Jarrad.  One that was designed specifically to honor the two of them and their sweet relationship.  Jarrad arrived, eager to get the day moving!  Finally, he was about to see his bride.  We placed him under the ceremony pergola at the wineries edge.  His and hers vows resting on the wine barrels flanking him.  Kelly was guided to the top of the rose lined stone walk, and with jittery knees, she took those long awaited steps towards her man as we fluffed her beautiful pearl adorned dress and fashionably stunning bridal cape.  Instantly after connecting their eyes, both were beaming!  Together they held hands, shared personal vows, and took in this beautiful moment…. And so began the best day of their lives!!

Following, we prepared the bridal party, encouraged guests to be seated on the lawn and prepped the pergola and lawn games for the first of the days celebrations.  “I promise to try and cook with bacon, at least once a week”... “I promise to continue to pretend that your 10:00pm beer league hockey games are incredibly important”.... These were the funniest vows and what was shared by these two in front of their guests.  The mushy gushy stuff was already said earlier and only for their ears to hear, so why not make the nerve wracking, stand in front of a lot of people ones, fun?!  Once officially married, social time began with sabering of champagne off towards the vineyard, charcuterie and cocktails.  A visit from the life sized cut out version of their sweet pup and photos!

The reception space had guests being greeted by a display of custom Fireball Whiskey bottles that doubled as both the seating chart and guest favors!  It was interactive, visually attractive and a hit!  Tables were designed to have a modern simplicity to them, with ribbed candle votives, pearls, simple greenery and a mixture of sleek lines with some delicate movement among the stationery.  The wall to wall, floor to ceiling, glass windows that overlooked the lower ceremony lawn and vineyards, had vibrant green vines framing the glass and Okanagan Lake views to be enjoyed.  Hors d’oeuvres, wine, cocktails and dinner were all deliciously enjoyed as guests socialized hard….all who had traveled to be here and most only meeting for the first time!  The evening continued with an Australian traditional dessert of Pavlova and Canadian traditional late night snack of Poutine!  The dance floor was busy right to the very end when buses were loaded with many happy guests expressing how much fun was had, how beautiful the day had been and how happy they were to see two of their favorites be taken care of all day and finally married!
