The Inquiry
Even though the plans were for an intimate wedding in the depths of the city, these two knew they wanted to soak it up in a big way! Supporting them for there long awaited wedding weekend was something we were happy to do, but when the weekend landed unexpectedly on an Edmonton Oilers playoff run game late in the season, we all knew bringing us on board was a relief to them… it was our job to handle the incoming chaos and make it fun!
The Package
“Day of” support is often much more than that. When our Your Love Story packaged is purchased, we don’t just show up to build your wedding puzzle you’ve planned. We assist with navigating and solving weekend of logistics. Create, manage and ensure all vendors adhere to a pre generated timeline and in this case, work to embrace the unplanned hockey game challenges! All of which was done in a way that allowed Lauren and Jesse to relax, laugh all day and enjoy many little and big moments throughout!
The Result
Pick ups from suppliers were made, the outdoor patio ceremony was set and the beautiful arch had been constructed with florals applied. Inside, guest tables were ready for dining and in person check ins had been completed with our bride and groom! Guests began to arrive early, as it was last minute encouraged to do so as a result of the 6 days notice to a playoff game taking place just blocks away from the venue on a beautifully sunny Saturday. To assist in guest comfort during a longer wait than originally planned, champagne and cocktail service to the patio began. Our couple arrived and the spring courtyard ceremony began! It was sweet and radiated love, happiness and joy! Once married, we coordinated their limo to be waiting just outside the ceremony patio gates… the two of them cheerfully walked down the aisle as husband and wife, right into their ride. No photographer, no guest interruption, just them! Off they were whisked, to their favorite local artisan ice cream that had been called ahead of time with their orders waiting! Curating at least one special, quiet, intimate moment such as this, is a priority of ours on wedding day. It’s a busy day! It goes by fast! It’s full of loved ones, good conversation, plenty of pictures, and is happily bustling along. To slow down and have a custom window of time for just the our two lovebirds, is essential and usually noted afterwards as one of the highlights of the day for their overall experience! Jesse and Laurens was no exception!
Upon their return, we went straight into dining of a deliciously crafted Italian meal full of flavor and character. Dancing was underway and the cobblestone patio was no longer a ceremony space, but now a social zone for guests to enjoy the romantic lighting, music in the background and locally made cinnamon buns! At sundown, off site photos were scheduled for just down the road at the neon light street…. Right across the street from the hockey arena that had just let fans out of a winning local hockey team game! The chaos could be heard blocks away but our couple chose to still take a crack at the pictures and to have fun with whatever would come of it. We piled into our car and began the 1.5 hour round trip journey that resulted in us kicking them and the photographer out of the car, not even 1 block down the road so they wouldn’t miss their chance at photos…. The roads were completely gridlocked with excited fans! All of which were reaching inside our car windows out of joy in winning the game, that quickly turned into even more happiness as they realized they were high fiving a couple of newlyweds! On foot, the most amazing photos were achieved and those smiles continued strong all night long!
Danielle and Megan were a dream to work with for our wedding! They are so friendly and easy to work with and helped us stay organized from the planning process up until the big day. I was completely calm and chill on my wedding day and I have Save the Date to thank for that - I knew every detail was being taken care of.
