The Result

Unfortunately, the weight on Ben & Ayla’s shoulders was heavier than the average as the pandemic forced a major shift in their original plans.  What was supposed to be a Spruce Grove based celebration, with a jacked up local beautiful reception space, turned into a significantly smaller guest count making the trek to the mountains to enjoy a cozy and intimate wedding day.  We assisted with floral pick ups and facilitating the added complexities of continuing with local vendors and getting their contracted goods to the mountains, to help create a micro version of their dream vision!  A snowy morning in Canmore kick started what we all soon discovered would be a wedding day that was exactly how it was truly supposed to be.  Nestled into the mountainside, was an Inn that hosted our couple and their families.  Ben & Ayla walked a stone path that started with a firepit for guests to enjoy, and led to a wood pergola for them to wed under.  Inside, the venue was bustling with guests that were staying in the rooms on site, making their way into the restaurant common area for socializing and drinks.  The kitchen staff were working hard to prepare the formal meal for all to enjoy and the large floor to ceiling windows with the mountains in the distance were letting in the afternoon winter light beautifully!  On display was a delectable selection of cookies and donuts, photo memories of our couple over the years, warm blankets for guests, a unique acrylic signing board and more.  The evening was filled with socializing!  Plenty of good food, laughter and dancing in the middle of a restaurant turned reception space.  It turns out, this intimate setting and experience was exactly the wedding Ben & Ayla needed.
